Needs Assessment
ClassWorks- A tool used to design multiple interactive lessons covering a
wide range of content for the subjects of Math and Reading.
AWARE- A tool used to create assessments, analyze student data, design
intervention plans, and compare state testing results for individual students
and teachers.
Teachers need training and modeling of ClassWorks and AWARE. The Technology
Facilitator and the Campus Technology Supporter need to use various campus
resources to design appropriate training for use of these programs. My recommended
staff developments are as follows:
Staff Development 1: ClassWorks Training
Trainers: Campus Technology Supporter and Campus Technology Facilitator
Goals: Explore program content and create an interactive lesson for a specific
class.
People Attending: Grouped by grade level during team planning period.
Time and length: 3 days
Activities: Teachers will take notes and interactively work together and with
trainers to meet common goals.
Assessment: Teachers will create an interactive lesson to be checked by the
Campus Technology Facilitator.
Staff Development 2: AWARE Training
Trainers: An Administrative Intern and Campus Technology Facilitator.
Goals: Explore program content, successfully create a comparative report on a
student that includes previous years TAKS scores in all subject areas. Then,
design an assessment and monitor list for that student.
