5. Similarities with other videos These are still images from my music video along with similar shots from other songs of the same genre. The videos include a medium shot of the singer with a microphone, black and white medium shot of the singer, medium shot of someone slapping another person and a close up of the singer with a microphone.

11. CD Cover The picture of the singer promotes the band, record companies like the image of the singer being in music videos and CD covers because it promotes the band more and increases interest, thus boosting sales. The CD is bold with little writing, the song name and artist are clear and easy to read for the consumer. One CD cover that I liked and used as an influence was the Last Shadow Puppets album cover, I feel the album cover is very bold and doesn’t drown out any information without leaving any free space. 12. Advert The advert is very similar to the CD, this is something that I wanted to do from the planning stages, this is because the poster then goes onto promote the image of the CD as well as the artist (see blog research on adverts at http://stewartpottermedia.blogspot.com/ ). The poster contains more information than the CD as it is to get the target audience interested so it must contain details about how to know more or buy the CD e.g. the website and release date. The poster would be able to be displayed in music shops, on sides of buses, bus stops, train stations, in magazines, in newspapers and around town centres.
