Building Up A Network Of Web Experts
Are you hoping to earn some decent money via the internet? Are you looking for a person or company
to build you a website? Are you looking into ways to promote your website? Would you like to see an
increase in traffic to your website? These are all questions to which a couple of years ago I would have
answered yes to. I now have built up a network of people who I always use to help me in these
particular fields.
In my opinion it is very important to establish a network of contacts on the internet. These people
should be honest, charge a fair price, be willing to help and give advice and be happy to work quickly
with good communication.
A few years ago I started to develop an interest in the web and thought that it would be a superb way to
promote my speech coaching business. I must admit that at this point I knew nothing about the ins and
outs of the net and did not know anybody who could build or promote a website.
I spent quite a long time phoning people who were advertising in places such as the yellow pages, the
newspaper and of course the internet itself. The prices some of these people quoted were a lot higher
than I could afford. I now have come to realise that these prices were basically a rip off as I have now
met some brilliant web designers who are happy and willing to build a website at far cheaper rates.
As an example a contact of mine now builds me a type of information portal site for £150 plus free
lifetime hosting. An example of one of these websites is at increase-pagerank.com. I have been working
with this contact now for a number of years and he is extremely reliable and has taught me a lot about
how the web works etc.
I have also met other contacts who are experts in website promotion. I have learnt a lot from these
people and would now like to think of myself as some kind of expert. I now think that I know quite a lot
about how to promote and a market a website. I have around eighty sites myself, which I constantly
attempt to attract more visitors to each of them.
The way I attract this additional traffic is by attempting to build up the amount of one-way backward
links to each site. One way of doing this of course is by writing articles like the one you are reading. This
2. writing can be quite tiresome but there are sites such as articles-submission.com, who are happy to help
you with this project.
In conclusion, be careful not to pay over the odds for web design, web marketing or web promotion.
Meet and build up a network of web experts who you can learn to trust and establish a long term
business relationship with.

Building Websites Was Tedious Until I Discovered Site Builders
Site builder tools are a valuable option to everyone including both the novice and professional web
designer. If you’ve ever tried building a website on your own, you know how time consuming it can be.
With all of the HTML code to type, building a site on your own can take you months to design, not to
mention all of the frustration involved. You probably already know that HTML code is not too forgiving;
one small error can drastically change the look of your pages. All of this valuable time spent designing
your site and fixing errors could be used in other areas of your business. With web builder tools you can
avoid all of the headaches and spend more of your time effectively running your business. Using web
builder tools is both hassle free and easy. The directions are simple enough for anyone to understand.
Another point to consider is the longer it takes to build your website, the more online sales you are
missing out on. Many times people are tempted to just hire someone else to do the job for them, but
this is usually not the most cost effective choice. Webmasters can often be very expensive, especially if
they are charging you by the hour and not a set fee for the job. With web builder tools you can have a
professional looking website up and running in no time at all. Unlike webmasters, web builder tools will
not put a dent in your wallet. They also allow you to have more of an input on designing your site. This
can be very important for two reasons. First of all, when hiring someone else to build your site it is often
difficult to explain just how you want everything to look. You can tell them what you want, but your idea
and their final product may not always match. If revisions need to be made to your site, this will take
more time and may even cost you more money. Secondly you will no doubt want to make changes to
3. your site occasionally. It can be a bother trying to contact a webmaster and set up a time for your site to
be updated. Often times they may not be readily available when you need them. With web builder tools
you have the option of making updates to your site whenever you choose.
If you own multiple websites and earn a great deal of your income online, you can greatly benefit from
using web builder tools. While you may be able to effectively design sites on your own, think of all the
time that must be spent doing so. Web builder tools can save you countless hours of time and allow you
to concentrate more on running your business instead of working on your site. This extra time can be
used to increase your income by learning marketing tools to help sell your products. Another point to
consider is all of the updates that you make to your site on a regular basis. You may offer monthly
specials or product discounts on a regular basis. Web builder tools allow you to make the necessary
changes to your site without devoting a great deal of time. Making quick updates to your site is not a
problem with web builder tools.
Most companies offering web builder tools understand that their customers have varying needs. That’s
why they offer several different packages for customers to choose from. Whether you just need a small
site designed to market your product, multiple email accounts, web blogs, shopping cart, or have a
rather large website to build, web builder tools can assist you in designing the site of your choice. If you
later decide to add more features or pages onto your site, upgrades can easily be made to your account.
With all of the features they have to offer, web builder tools are a good option for business owners of all
types.

Building Your First Web Site?
Before doing anything on the technical side, you need some kind of basic idea to work with. I suggest
first getting some paper and a pencil. Start by sketching a layout of how you would like your web page
to appear. For example, a simple title at the top, the area in which you would like any content, pictures
and so on. Now its time to do some programing!
4. Don't let the word programing scare you. Anyone can learn and there are several sites that offer free
tutorials. One such site is http://www.w3schools.com/html/default.asp. Although it is not necessary to
be a top notch programer to build and operate your web site, you should learn the basics of html. I
recommend that you thoroughly learn about tables. They are widely used and with them, you can create
a professional looking layout (even as a beginner).
You can use any basic text editor, like notepad, to write, edit, and save your code (html). When saving
your work for the first time, choose Text Document for type of file, then save with the extension htm
(for example index.htm). Your home page (the first page people usually see) is normally saved as
index.htm. To see how your page looks, double click on the file and it should automatically open up in
your browser.
Now that you've got your web page ready to go, it's time to find a host (a place for your web page to
live). Since this is your first site, I suggest you use Free Web Hosting. Some host will put advertising, such
as a banner, on your site as the cost of free hosting. Others will only charge you to register your Domain
Name (www.YourSite.com). Be careful not to accidentally sign up for extras such as url protection, spam
control, etc. (unless you feel you need them) as they will add to your cost. These sites will have a limit on
bandwidth (how much data that can be transmitted per month), email accounts, and maybe a few other
things, but are still great for first timers. If later on you feel you need more, then you usually can
upgrade. To find a host, just use any search engine and the freelance web designer phrase Free Web
Hosting.
Ok! You've sketched a layout for your web page, learned some basic html, coded your web page, found
your host with the most (couldn't resist), and registered your URL (www.YourSite.com). Now it's time to
upload (transfer) your file (web page ) to your host. To do this you need a FTP program. FTP stands for
File Transfer Protocol. When using this application, there are usually two windows. The left window
shows your computer files, and the right window shows the files stored on your host. For a good tutorial
and to download a freeware FTP program, FTP Commander, go to
http://www.nexcess.net/hosting/support/tutorials/ftp/ftpcommindex.php.
Now you should be up and running. But don't stop there. Continue to tweak, add pages, learn to link to
other pages and sites, and frequently add new content. Who knows, you could eventually learn to profit
from your creation.
