2. Kidualthood Kidualthood trailer - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5wM73QyfZ3c There is more dialogue at the beginning of the trailer than the end. A lot of diegetic sound throughout the trailer but stops at important phrases to allow us to get a feel of the characters through speech. The camera angles and movement are important as they relate to the film moments it captures the main things to give the scene impact. E..g. the camera showed Trevor (Aml Ameen) on the floor with a high level shot. Then jumps to Sam (Noel Clarke) and pans over him from a low angle shot. This has the effect of Trevor showing submission to Sam as he is more powerful, stronger and dominant than Trevor. which shows there is a relationship between the two. The first shot is the point of view shot which shows Trevor on the floor then the following shot shows Sam standing tall with the bellow eye level shot shows Lots of straight cuts to prevent revealing characters reaction fades to next scene The same music throughout
3. Whilst the characters speaking the other captions shown that relate. Words come with some captions. Heart beat sign along it. Their use of tag lines draw you into the story, it gives you a written synopsis. By doing it a couple of words at a time it makes the audience follow on till it makes sense. The tag lines maybe used as a device that controls the pace of the trailer . By interrupting the scene it allows you to take the previous scene in. for example in Bullet Boy the little boy is holding a gun but the way he’s holding it shows inexperience and as the scene fades into the tagline it leaves the audience in shock that a young boys innocence is fading. Bullet boy
4. Baby Boy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DhFWPyzWrGA&feature=related Starts with a prayer, the volume of the prayer overtakes the diegetic sound whilst showing different moving images relevant to the prayer. There is narrative throughout the whole trailer. Although it changes, Jody was saying the prayer at the beginning for the 1st 20seconds. It introduces the type of character he is and lets us in on what’s to come in the movie. Then the narrator. He did pause when a character was speaking. The framed moving image with the caption shows the different ways to introduce a character. for example Jody looks intimidating this explains his character.

8. Location South bank with graffiti background- drug swap Bridge that shows London eye- conflicting scene Park with swings- beginning with kids Room with bed- sister advising to brother Kitchen – friend and girl questions
9. Things to include Multiple scenes/scenery Related costume and props Variety of camera shots and movement used for effect Don’t put too much dialogue but enough Use music for effect Characters narrating following scenes in trailer Make sure themes are explored through trailer The more generic it is the easier it will be in the exam. Words following the screen is good Leave the audience thinking wanting to go see the ‘film’
