This statistic is pretty incredible.
I went on an OS holiday recently took over 1000 photos all on my phone. I was able to share them instantly with my follwers/friends/family. SLR stayed in hotel room as did my point and shoot. When I went to Laneway a couple of weeks ago many many people taking photos on their phones.
In today’s session we are going to talk about and play with some apps and filters. My apologies the session really is apple device centric although I believe android phones have something going on… just not sure what
Why mobile photography? We have ubiquitous proliferation of devices. I think they breed in the night. Like Gremlins if they get wet. Evil devices grow. With filters very easy to create photos that look good and with apps and social media very easy to share. This is not a how to take brilliant photos workshop but here are some tips from one of the best mobile street photographers around @mishobaranovicOne of the best tips I have is join a community of mobile photographers. I met Misho through @igersmelbourne but I have met so many wonderful people and some like are serious photographers. I still use Instagram. I also use EyeEm and Flickr but if I see something amazing I ask the creator how they did it. Most people warm, friendly and will share. Native camera on iphone or use apps… I prefer apps better editing but more about that later.
