5. WebRTC: a new technology framework for in-browser
rich media communications.
 It is an implementation of an IETF workgroup (RTCweb)  open standard
 RTC: Real-Time Communications, i.e. text, voice and video
 Based on code Google acquired from Global IP Solutions
(GIPS: the voice engine used by Skype)
 Released to the public domain:  open source
 WebRTC enables rich media applications such as voice calls, video chat,
white-boarding, gaming etc. without any client or plug-in to run from a
browser using simple HTML and JavaScript APIs.

6. Unified Communication (UC) meets social sharing: “my
desk is your desk”
 Applications such as WebEx and Teamviewer provide the richest form of
communication: voice, video, text and program interaction
 Integration with CTI, Unified Communication and corporate social
networks will provide „distributed workspace“ environments, which will
greatly enhance workflow and communication productivity
 Phone, Videoconference, Mail, Presentation, address and directory services
will be accessible „seamlessly“ across all available screens and I/O
interfaces.
 FMC will further blur the distinction
Corporate communication will be revolutionized and
completely bypass national operators
