depends on the region it is targeting. Typically for
county's such as Essex, Kent and Cumbria the regional
magazine would appeal to an older generation, and
features information creating hermeneutic codes for
older women and occasionally men. In places like
London and Brighton, the regional magazines are
appealing to a younger generation with a wider
ethnic background. This again is due to the content
covered inside the magazine, leading to the
audience being both male and female. However, in
tourist destinations such as Brighton and London
again, there is information which would appeal to
tourists and people who are not from the area,
whereas for county’s they are more for people
residing in the region it covers or someone with a
strong link to the area.
