One thing that works well with this
cover is that the colours contrast well
with each other, the use of red, black
and white really makes this stand out
to the consumer.

The masthead stand out and
is big and bold, it also is
mostly in the left third making
it able to see when on a shelf
with other magazines.
The Lead image for the cover feels as if the person is
Staring at the consumer, making it connect more to
the consumer.

The main issue with the cover is
that lead image makes it feel like
it is targeted more towards a male
audience, If it is a college
magazine it should apply to
everyone.

The other issue I found with the
cover is that in some places it is
hard to read what is written
such as the headline. Because
of the black on the lead image
it clashes with the black in the
text for the headline making it
at times hard to read.

What I found easy about this was finding a
Typeface that works very well with the college.

One thing that works well
with the content page is that
the colours contrast and fit
with the house style of the
magazine.
Another thing that works well
is that the image used on the
contents page fits with the
headline and lead image from
the cover making the main
article stand out

With font I tried to make it resemble the masthead as
Best as possible to fit with the house style of the
magazine.
I split off the regulars from the features in the magazine
As it will be easier to find certain articles.
The red borders I added make the contents page stands
out and draw you into the sections of the contents.

One thing I found difficult when designing this was that
getting a good layout for the contents page because
the layout needs to stand out and be simple to find
what you are looking for.
One thing that I found easy was choosing colours as it
again fits with the house style.

If I could change one thing about the
contents page it would have to be the
layout, I do think the layout I have chosen is
good but I think it could be better by
adding a few more images and more details
onto the contents page.
