Hitachi Unified Compute Platform Pro for

Integrated into vCenter, UCP Director soft-
ware provides a unified and comprehensive
thick and thin Web-based management
interface with process orchestration for

resource pools. UCP Director simplifies
the integration and ongoing management
of large dynamic environments. It greatly
reduces the barrier to deployment, speeds
time to value, and streamlines operational

UCP Director to help reduce capital expen-

This uniquely unified platform gives data

For geographically dispersed implementa-
tions, the UCP data center director feature

Replicator (HUR) and Hitachi TrueCopy to

protected with disaster recovery of VMs

Server
UCP Pro for VMware vSphere is based on
a blade server platform from Hitachi using
the latest Intel processor technology within
a highly reliable architecture. Its unique fea-
tures ensure the highest levels of efficiency,
application availability and uptime. Hitachi
Compute Blade 500 offers enterprise-class
performance, high-density computing and
massive throughput with scaling from 2
to 128 blades per UCP Pro for VMware
vSphere configuration. Multiple RAM and
CPU options are supported with Hitachi
Compute Blade 500 within a predefined
architecture, which is key to providing a flexi-
ble platform for changing business needs.
Networking
Essential to a complete platform, standard
network components are supported to pro-
vide efficient and reliable networking. Giving
customers the flexibility of choice, UCP Pro
for VMware vSphere utilizes Ethernet compo-
nents from either Brocade or Cisco, and SAN
components from Brocade. These compo-
nents come fully pre-wired and automatically
configured for simplified and automated virtual
LAN and SAN provisioning.
