3. For this presentation I chose to use a project I completed for a C.A.D. class this past fall
semester. The project entailed designing a fashion line using Photoshop and Illustrator. I
used a mixture of Colleen Atwood’s 2010 Alice in Wonderland costumes and nature as my
inspiration to show my different skills with these two programs.
There was a girl who loved fashion. Ever since she was a little girl she would dreamed
about opening her own store. One day that dream came true and she got her boutique in
New York. She went on to name that store Once Upon a Time, since it was once just her
dream. As the years went on the collection grew from not only casual clothing but to
formal and nightwear as well. The store is more of a higher end fashion boutique making
the prices a little above normal. Although, the quality and detail of the clothing show
exactly that and prove worthy. The fabrics are composed of such material as silk, leather,
lace, corduroy and much more. There is a wide rage of styles mostly geared for young
adults. The collection is inspired by the Alice In Wonderland movie through the lace and
layers. Also, through its vibrant colors and abstract shapes. This particular collection if
fun, hip, sexy and feminine all in one. It has that particular look of appeal yet conformity.

I took the two and combined them through flowers, bows and earthy toned
color schemes. My patters reflected that of the free flowing, easy going feeling
nature presents all the while being sexy and feminine with its silhouettes and
accessories.
6. My pieces were designed for a young woman between the ages of 20 and 26 ..
8. There is a variety of pieces in this line from conservative and or fun day wear to
revealing night attire as well. This provides the consumer an easy one stop
shopping experience by providing both day and nightwear.

I chose to use sketches I created while in an apparel design
class. It demonstrates my creative process and development as
well as the illustrative techniques I have learned.
For these sketches I chose to create garments suitable for young
adults. There tends to be very little time for a business woman
to take care of herself let alone take the time to shop. My vision
was to create a one stop shop where woman can shop for both
their work clothing as well as their regular attire.

The line offers full outfits including accessories, which are
all presented on mannequins. These complete looks ensure
one dose not waste precocious time deciding on what goes
with what. You think all day, why not have one thing in
life be easy and quick?
17. For this project I decided to use various
patterns that I created in class for
different garment silhouettes.
These pieces demonstrate my
capabilities within apparel pattern
making.
26. For this project I decided to use various sewing
projects I created for two of my apparel classes. I
chose a basic skirt, straight trousers, a fitted,
sleeveless dress, a button up shirt and a dress
drape with alterations to the plaid as my
examples.
These five pieces demonstrate my sewing skills
with creating a garment as a whole as well as,
inserting different closures, finishing, hems,
collar, cuff, pockets and button holes.
