3. Cluster schools should work towards collaborative goals that benefit students and maintain connections. Families and communities should be informed and involved through communication and activities that highlight Maori culture.

Wiki being discussed but can be blog. Also relates to any other ICT e-Learning PD currently being carried out to improve student learning.
All about the kids learning
Pre prepare - set up wiki for new class – decide on whole school naming structure. Data projector, 19” screen, Techi Experts taught and teach next group – rotate for turns – what skills do you or your students need to learn?
Watching a film – making notes to then discuss collaboratively on wiki postings
1. Only photo and first name – no personal info – student log on for Y4 up students – log on as class – no membership from parents but can view and send emails to students or allow discussion ? – copy of letter home – class and email business card – show – school policies.
Our 2nd year so made all names uniform – alphabetical – able to access all class web sites at home and school – I email HL but others post on wiki -
2010 – tended to just plonk and up skill ourselves – working through network permission issues and policies updates for on line involvement. Changes 2011 – be more like a LMS – eg: Ultranet or Knowledgenet – share successes and next learning goal
What keeps things going for students? ME in print or better still photo/film – changes as they get older to social comments/ vokis /avatars..... As social networking becomes medium for learning. Prepare along lines of Ultra net/Knowledgenet LMSs. Decided to hold off till end of contract.
We entered and won! $300 to buy another camera. Being the teachers to others. Data proj during roll call to demo new maths game.
No computer at home.....first in every day to spend time ..... Question was : Should we have home learning?
