  • 10. Casas  Grandes  and  the  Northern  Trade  Route   •  Central  to  any   interac+on  with  the   southwest  during  this   period  would  have  been   Casas  Grandes,   Chihuahua,  not  far   south  of  the  border   with  New  Mexico.
