2. Chapter 1
Stone Bridge
Gazing into the burning flames of the magnificent campfire, Lucy [ an unpopular and
shy girl] was agitated about the dreadful action that was gradually beginning to
happen. A tingle of trepidation ran down her bony spine as her eyes darted around
like fire-flies in the moonlit sky. Hours earlier, the prosperous king had handed Lucy
the most important letter of life. Whilst opening the letter, a shiver ran through her
small, timid body. Inside the letter read: Lucy you must- and I mean must- attend to
my meeting today at three o clock. Not knowing what was going to happen, Lucy
headed towards the mighty king’s enormous castle.
Eventually, Lucy approached the obnoxious king. He declared sternly “
Unfortunately many of our brave warriors have suffered catastrophic injuries.” “The
tigers are attacking our land [Stone Bridge] and killing our great people,” The mighty
king needed someone small but old enough to complete this terrifying quest.”
Unconfident, he announced, “ Lucy you must venture to the creepy castle and
collect the diamond sword to kill the awful and terrible tigers.” Plucking up the
courage, Lucy bravely agreed to the torturous quest.
Despite feeling nervous, Lucy slowly paced towards the Rocky Pit- this wasn’t going
to be easy. Lucy knew she couldn’t let her people down.

Rocky Pit
Hours passed, until eventually Lucy approached the outskirts of the Rocky Pit. Petrified,
Lucy stopped dead in her tracks- could she do it? Without warning, Lucy could hear faint
noises in the distance, her knees started to tremble. Sweat dripped. The ground shookshook like volcano. Silence. Her heart started to pound as fast as a cheetah. The strange
noise was getting louder and louder. What was it? Terror almost froze her…
Just then, Lucy noticed green beady eyes staring at her intensely. Panic-stricken, Lucy
swiftly ran into the tight Rocky Pit. ROAR! What was it? Should she turn back? Suddenly,
an enormous , mysterious creature appeared- it was a dragon! Lucy darted through the
stones, forcing her way through whilst the dragon chased her rapidly. What was she going
to do? Turning around, luckily Lucy noticed that the dragon was stuck behind a vast rock.
Lucy could now escape. Looking for the exit, Lucy spotted a diamond gleaming in the
sunlight. Quickly, she picked it up and made her way out of the Rocky Pit.
Eventually, Lucy reached the crossroads, with four identical paths, two of them were
blocked off. However, the other two that were leading off into the distance, had a sign
North or South. North was a winding path whereas the South was a muddy path.
Did Lucy go North or South.
4. Chapter 3
North
Having decided to take the north path, Lucy ventured forward, as butterflies started to gather
in her stomach. Twisting and turning, the path she was following disappeared into an
overgrown, marshy wood. Exploring further, a huge river of quick-sand emerged in front of
her. Bewildered and unsure of her next move, Lucy gathered her thoughts and began to
wonder what to do – she needed to cross the river of quick-sand. Swiftly turning
around, Lucy noticed a vast pile of rocks- she had an idea, she would build a bridge to cross
the menacing river. After a while, Lucy had nearly made the life-depending bridge with the
tough and strong stones. Eventually, she had finished. Plucking up the courage, bravely Lucy
tried to cross the river of quick sand- it worked Lucy was on the other side.
Out of the corner of Lucy’s eye, she noticed a sparkling object gleaming in the sunlight.
Pacing towards the shining golden dagger, Lucy began to feel apprehensive- could she do it?
Pulling with all of her might, finally she managed to seize the dagger, Lucy knew this this vital
object would help her to solve this torturous quest. Striving forward, feeling empowered to
conquer all of her fears, she proceeded forward, without a moments hesitation.

South
Having decided to choose the south path, Lucy ventured forward, trying to picture
what was going to happen next. Trudging towards the gloomy forest, Lucy caught a
glimpse of a crocodile infested pool. Lucy jumped with fright; seeing more and more
crocodiles rising to the top of the water. Venturing closer, Lucy could make out that
that the pool was in fact a swamp… Quickly, Lucy assembled all of her precious
thoughts and began to piece together a plan. Lucy realised the only thing she could do
was swim through the lake although she really disliked swimming. Just then, she
spotted a rocky path leading to the exit. Lucy was elated as she didn’t have to swim
through the unsightly swamp. As fast as lightning, Lucy darted out of the creepy
forest.
Momentarily forgetting the dangers surrounding her, she didn’t notice the deep ditch
in front of her. Falling flat on her face, she grasped the muddy sides trying to get to her
feet. Suddenly, she felt a sharp object under-foot. Seizing the object from the bottom
of the ditch and cleaning it, she found it to be a magical dagger! Lucy knew this was a
vital step to completing her quest.

The fight
After a while, exhausted Lucy arrived at the magnificent, creepy castle- this is what she had
been waiting for… Standing in front of her was the grand, extraordinary entrance which was
massively unwelcoming. Feeling nervous, Lucy took a deep breath. Petrified and not knowing
what was going to happen next, Lucy cautiously turned the golden door handle. PHEW! She
had done it she was in… Feeling extremely unconfident, Lucy made her way down the long,
narrow corridor …
Just then, Gargamel swiftly appeared in front of the dungeon where the diamond sword was.
“You will never defeat me!” Gargamel declared, whilst holding his magical staff.
“Oh yes I will! ” Lucy shouted, trying to be brave.
“Ok lets fight then!” Gargamel shouted back …
Quickly, Lucy clutched her dagger and stabbed Gargamel as quick as a flash. Rapidly,
Gargamel dropped to the floor- he was dead. Lucy had won! She could now get the diamond
sword to kill the fierce tigers! She had accomplished her quest. Lucy was elated.

while when the loud cheering had stopped, Lucy realised she still had to kill the ferocious
tigers. Plucking up the courage, bravely she withdrew her trust-worthy sword-stab, stab the
tigers were dead. They were lying motionless on the freezing, cold floor. Blood was slowly
oozing out of the tigers wounded body. Lucy had done it.
