A finance path developed by the Hult Banking & Finance Club 2010.
This document is intended for Master Degree students who are interested in pursuing a career in the Finance Industry. The main objective of this document is to serve as a guideline with which students can apply their academic learning with the assistance of a group mentor.
2. Extended vs. Dead-End: This path will provide training or help to develop skills and opportunities that lead to growth and advancement. Therefore, it will set you ready to target job opportunities that provide growth and high potential for advancement, not dead-end jobs.

Ambiguity and an environment where tasks change from day to day became a norm in today`s market.ACTIVITIES DESCIPTION<br />Research Project:<br />Each year, a market trend or need will be identified. A list of standard questions will be developed with the aid of the mentor where students will form teams to go collect data. Data collected then will be analyzed and a research output report will be developed under the supervision of an academic mentor.<br />Companies Field Visits: <br />A list of target companies will be available by the start of the program (January of each year). Filed visits will be arranged for students to go and meet with employees. The main objective of this activity is to build social and business networks.<br />Executive Speaker Series:<br />High-level executives and managing directors will be secured for executive series. The main aim is to invite executives to come to campus and share their experiences with the students.<br />Workshops:<br />Workshops will run throughout the year. Examples include an investment contest which ran last year. It allowed students to actually practice their academic knowledge in real data stock investments.<br />Training & Guidance Sessions:<br />Training sessions will be provided from time to time in order to help students get involved in the above activities.
