4. I asked people to send photos which is taken with a card with a hole in the center. Photograph is chosen as a
means to deliver a message to overcome the language barrier and to be instantly understood by everyone. local
scenery and everyday objects around the sender cropped behind the flag contains the moment of remembering
Japan as they are offering a moment of silence.
5. The photo messages are collected via website and displayed on a world map.
When the recipient opens the photo, the locations of the recipient and the
photo (sender) are connected with a line to depict that the message has been
received by someone in Japan or another sender. The line which ties the two
locations is the evidence of shared thoughts from one person to another.

I was responsible for a coordination with Mr
Fukasawa and the actual production of the
piece. My role was to understand the aim of the
creator and to find a possible means to realize
this highly original idea.
For banana and strawberry, I found a fake food
model production company who can make super
detailed surfaces. Kiwi is made by a paper which
fibers are applied with a flocking technique. I
folded them into shape and glued straws on.

Sobue and the actual production of the piece.
My role was to understand the aim of the
creator and to find a possible means to realize
this highly original idea.
The challenging part was to find a crystal clear
silicone which can contain some object in and
freely shaped. Over 250 Tadpole figures were all
handmaded by Mr. Sobue and I.
