CITY OF CLEVELAND’S TV20 NOW AVAILABLE ON AT&T U-VERSE TV
Adds Public, Education and Government (PEG) original programming
CLEVELAND(Mar.12, 2014) —AT&T Ohio and the City ofClevelandtoday announced that TV20, the
City of Cleveland’s Public, Education and Government (PEG) channel, is now available on AT&T U-
verse®
TV Channel 99throughout the Cleveland area.
―TV20 is a valuable source of news and information about the City of Cleveland for residents and
having it available on AT&T U-Verse has expanded our reach, said Cleveland Mayor Frank G.
Jackson. ―I am pleased to see this kind of investment coming into the community.‖
On the air 24 hours a day, TV20 airs press conferences and interviews with Mayor Jackson and his
Administration, offers ―live coverage‖ of Cleveland City Council Committee meetings, has a weekly
news program, covers youth sports and creates original programming targeting public safety, public
health, and quality of life in the city of Cleveland. It also serves as a bulletin board for job information,
city service delivery updates and emergency information.
PEG programming on U-verse TV is conveniently located on U-verse TV Channel 99, as well as in the
U-verse TV Main Menu for all U-verse TV subscribers, which enables all U-verse TV customersinthe
Cleveland area to view. This allows programmers to have a larger audience to show their content,
while increasing overall access by allowing consumers to learn about issues outside their own
community.
2. AT&T U-verse launched in Ohio in 2007. U-verse TV is one component of AT&T’s Project Velocity IP
(VIP), an investment plan to expand and enhance AT&T’s wireless and wired IP broadband networks.
A customer benefit of these investment plans is AT&T’s plan to make U-verse TV, high-speed Internet
and U-verse Voice available to 8.5 million more customers by the end of 2015.
―AT&T will continue to enhance the capabilities of U-verse on a regular basis,‖ said Mylayna Albright,
Vice President, External Affairs, AT&T Ohio. ―The PEG programming available on Channel 99 and
through the Main Menu of U-verse TV provides our Cleveland area U-verseTV customers access to
insightful and locally-based programming.‖
AT&T invested more than $350million in its best-in-class wireless and wired networks in Cleveland
between 2011 through 2013, driving a wide range of upgrades to enhance speed, reliability, coverage
and performance for residents and business customers. Additionally, in 2013 AT&T hired more than
900 new employees in Ohio, many as the result of the company’s continued investment in Ohio to
support customer service and network operations.
Over the past six years (2008 to 2013), AT&T invested more than $140 billion into its wireless and
wireline networks, when you combine capital and spectrum acquisitions. Since 2008, AT&T has
invested more capital into the U.S. economy than any other public company. In a September 2013
report, the Progressive Policy Institute ranked AT&T No. 1 on its list of U.S. ―Investment Heroes.‖
