• “Hepatitis is a disease of the liver. Hepa
comes from the Greek word for liver, and it
is Latin for “inflammation.” Thus, hepatitis
is “inflammation of the liver.” When you
have hepatitis, your liver doesn’t work
normally.”

• “The hepatitis B virus causes hepatitis B,
which can lead to chronic hepatitis B and
cirrhosis, followed by liver cancer.”

• “It is most often passed from one person
to another in semen or blood as a result of
having unprotected sex or from sharing a
hypodermic needle.”

• “Viral hepatitis is also an STD. At least
three variants of the virus hepatitis A virus
(HAV), HBV, and HCV are known to be
transmitted sexually. HBV is the form most
commonly transmitted sexually. Vaccines
are available to immunize persons at risk
for HAV and for HBV.”

• My STD is Hepatitis A and B. I don’t know
much about it, STD’s in general are
diseases transferred through sex. They
are very serious and sometimes difficult to
treat or take care of. Some STD’s are
AIDS, Hepatitis, and Trich.
