5. A gray wolf eats deer, moose, beavers and even small mammals. A gray wolf eats meat. Gray wolves don’t eat sugary foods. An animal can consume 15 lbs at one meal. Wolves eat small mammals such as mice and rats. Wolves do not eat plants. Appetite

6. Habitat Gray wolves live in the northern parts. But some are moving south. Many gray wolves in South America. Gray wolves do not live in Grayling, Roscommon, Gaylord and Houghton Lake. A large number have been found in prairie lands. A very, very large bunch of gray wolves live in Minnesota.

7. Interesting Facts Gray wolves can smell 100 times better than humans can. There are 6-12 gray wolves in one pack which makes it easier to get their prey. Gray wolves can run 40 miles and not stop. They mate in the first and second months of the year (January & February). They gray wolf has no predators. Gray wolves have larger packs than red wolves. The breed once every 12 months (1 year).
