described as “enterprising”, they are
likely to be inventive, creative, and/or
innovative.
To me being an Entrepreneur
means.......

 A person who has an
idea for a business,
develops the idea, and
organizes the
necessary resources to
see the idea through.
Entrepreneurs....
 Create and build business enterprises
 Establish or operate business, thereby
taking financial risk
 Are innovators, organizers, decision
makers and risk takers
Eight (8) Character Traits of an
Entrepreneur
 1. Persistent-Entrepreneurs work until a job is done. They
are determined to overcome problems and to pursue their
goals in order to make their business successful.
 2. Creative-Entrepreneurs are constantly looking for new
ways to solve problems.
 3. Responsible-An entrepreneur is accountable for
his/her actions and does what is required.
 4. Inquisitive-Entrepreneurs are curious about things that
may affect their business. They are not afraid to ask
questions or to conduct research in order to solve
problems.
 5. Goal-oriented-Entrepreneurs develop a plan of action
and must make decisions to help achieve that plan.
 6. Independent-Entrepreneurs want to make their own
decisions. They set their own schedules and are able to
work without supervision.
 7. Self-confident-Entrepreneurs believe in themselves.
 8. Risk-takers-Entrepreneurs look for challenging
opportunities. They are not afraid to take risks.
