Leadership is -“process of social influence in which one person can enlist the aid and support of others in the accomplishment of a common task. Processed leadership is –when leaders carry out this process by applying their leadership knowledge and skills. It was once common to believe that leaders were born rather than made. Introduction

“Managers are people who do thing right, while leaders are people who do right thing”. “The best example of Leadership is leadership by example”. “The most important quality in a leader is that of being acknowledge as such.” “You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the things you think you cannot do” Definitions of leadership
First female minister- Nina Bang, Danish Minister of Education was the first woman to be minister in democratically elected parliamentary government. First female prime Minister and President - Sirivamo Bandaranaike of Sri Lanka became world’s first female elected premier Minister and Isabel Peron of Argentina became first woman President- one woman had been Acting head of Government and two woman Acting Heads of state before that. Women in Leadership Roles
Current female heads of state and government- there are 30 female leaders in 28 different countries. 10 female presidents are in Argentina, Costa Rica, Finland, India, Ireland, Switzerland, Lithuania, Liberia, Kyrgyz’s. There are 17% of member of national parliaments worldwide are women. In India 33% of seats at the local government level are reserved for women. In U.S., women hold 50.3% of all management and professional positions.

Women has proved themselves as successful leaders in politics as well as in various organizations. Women are now participate in all activities such as education, politics, media, art and culture, service sectors, science and technology, etc. There are lots of problems which a women faces during her careers growth. Women need to be more practical. Women need to become more aware so they can reposition their behavior to develop a style that feels right and delivers effective leadership. CONCLUSION
