What is a Project?
A project is a temporary endeavour undertaken
to create a unique product, service or result.
Temporary does not mean short-term. It means
a definite beginning and end.
Unique means that the project product, service
or result has some distinguishing features
different from others.

Why Project Management
PMI 2012: The world is spending 1/5 of its GDP (US $12
trillion) on projects this year - and organizations that
range from global businesses to governments and NGOs
have identified project management and skilled
project managers as the key to their success.
PMI: The demand for project professionals is staggering,
with an average of 1.2 million projected new jobs
needing to be filled each year for the next decade. This
demand far exceeds supply - and if not corrected will put
U.S. $4.5 trillion of the global GDP at risk by 2016.
