The message of this advert is that children under 16 years should be aware of the NSPCC
and that they can help you if anything happens to you. The NSPCC want to help end
cruelty to children and make sure that every child is being listened to.
Poster 2
The message of this advertisement is
to show that smoking is bad for
you and that the NHS can help
you quit smoking even if you
have been hooked to cigarettes

Poster 3

Poster 1: The target audience for this poster is children under 16 years or age
Poster 2: The target audience for this poster is people of any age that are addicted to

Poster 3: The target audience for this poster is people that often think about or do drink
and drive.
4) Decide whether or not you think the poster is effective in getting its message across.
Think carefully about each poster and use your research skills to produce a report that you
will present to the rest of the class. You could present your report as a PowerPoint
presentation, a verbal report, a video or audio programme or a website.
Poster 1: I think that this poster isn’t effective enough because it has too much writing on
it and the colours are not bright so people wouldn’t like to look at this poster.
Poster 2: I think that this poster is really effective because the image of the man shows that
he is hooked on cigarettes by showing us he is literally hooked on with an actual hooked.
Also the small piece of text in the middle of the poster tells you that it doesn’t matter if
you have been hooked on cigarettes for a very long time because the NHS Smokefree can
help you get hooked of cigarettes.
Poster 3: I think that this poster is helpful because it shows that
