Resolution<br />By Simon Sohn<br />Forum: General Assembly (1st Committee)<br />Question of: Preparing pandemic disease in developing countries.<br />Submitted by: Spain<br />The General Assembly,<br />Recognizing the need to prevent the pandemic disease, to avert possible conflicts caused by pandemic disease,<br />Wishing to prevent pandemic disease from being an arena for crisis,<br />Firmly convinced that the pandemic diseases occurred in developing countries will spread to other countries, thus endangering international health.<br />Pointing out that pandemic disease is easier to occur in the developing countries, where sanitation and health care system is not fully discovered.<br />Aware of the fact that H1N1 occurred in a developing country, spread to other countries and led a lot of people to fears, resulting in a number of deaths.<br />Aware of the fact that Spain is the first country in Europe to have a patient killed by H1N1,<br />Firmly convinced that resources devoted to prevent pandemic disease could avert numbers of people affected by pandemic disease in advance.<br />Reaffirming the will of all nations to help developing countries with preventing the disease.<br />Welcoming more international negotiations to take place regarding the prevention of pandemic disease.<br />1. Call upon all the UN countries, especially those with high medical technology, to provide proper resources to developing countries in order to prevent pandemic diseases such as <br />(a) Offer medication <br />i. Vaccination for kids<br />ii. More places to cure disease.<br />(b) Send doctors<br />(c) Support clean water supplies<br />2. Encourages all states to sincerely consider supporting the developing countries with preventing pandemic diseases.<br />3. Affirming that Spain has been supporting the developing countries with preparing the pandemic diseases and will be in the forefront of supporting the developing countries.<br />
