Each day, over 1,000 children in India die from waterborne diseases caused by lack of access to clean water and sanitation. By 2030, it is estimated that over 1 billion people worldwide will live in slums, accounting for over one-third of the global population. Improving access to clean water and sanitation is critical to address the health and well-being of the growing urban poor population around the world.
