2. Press brakes are used to make bends in varying thickness of
heavy sheets. This is essentially a machine that is used for
bending a metal sheet or plate, into a shape controlled by its die
set. It forms preset curves by firmly holding the workpiece
between the punch and die set. This is a multi purpose
fabricating machine and is suitable for several types of metal
forming operations. It has the capability to deliver force in a
constrained vertical space so as to punch or bend the metal
sheet.
3. A variety of press brakes are now available in the market
with each requiring long setup times. But with the
subsequent introduction of retrofitted CNCs and full CNC
brakes, setup time is greatly reduced. Setup and operation
of a press brake retrofit controller or a full CNC controller
require an alternate level of experience and information than
manual brake setup and operation.

5. Sound earthing techniques facilitate robust operation of the
controller with all signal cables including Analog Out, Analog In,
and Quadrature shielded.
An aluminum foil shield with drain wire is preferred the most,
with the drain wire connected to the terminals of the controller.
The controller will operate slightly differently with respect to
noise immunity and other general inference exciters.

Maximum current for a signal connection should be
200mA.
Maximum current for a power terminal should be 6 amps.
Use low current carrying instrument cables whenever
possible.
Using high input current drives multistrand cable.
