3. Why?
• Ubiquitous communication and low-barrier to
information is CHANGING society
– Work
– Commerce
– Organize
• Traditional constraint (primarily geography) no
longer hold
• Historic artifacts no longer fit
– state sovereignty
– ‘local’ laws

4. Theory – Experimental Validation
• We don’t have a FIXED base
– Except maybe for basic human behavior
• Measurements - Danger to predict the PAST
– Behavior is often constraint by technology
– Emerging behavior is often chaotic

5. Running out of Business Model
• Mobile operators don’t have a business model
in a few years
• Need to change the way they operate
• Very interested in FI ideas and solutions
• Need to take advantage of all the information
they collect or could collect
