6. The Final Girl
We choose Emma as the final girl
because she fit in the characteristics
of a final girl. She is white, medium
height and from the middle class,
she looks innocent and wearing
simple clothing. On the other hand,
she does challenge the convention
of a classic final girl characteristics
because she’s not brave in the
movie which means she is the most
unlikely one to face against the killer
individually.
7. The First Girl
We choose Roxy as the first girl
because she fit in the characteristics of
a first girl. Unlikely the final girl, first
girl doesn’t wear simple dress, and the
first girl must be more attractive
comparing to the final girl as final girl is
a man-like character in a horror movie.
In contrast with the typical
characteristics of a first girl, she is not
the one who get killed first in the
movie, but she is the main character
who get killed first, so we call her our
first girl on our movie.
8. The Killer
We choose Will as the killer because he
fit in the characteristics of a killer. A
white guy who is well respected who is
the most unlikely one to be the killer as
he is the mayor in the movie. He is tall
and that can represent his power in the
movie. By comparing him to a typical
killer in a slasher film, he is more likely
to be a member of a group of
teenagers or even the benefactor, but
we choose him as the killer because we
want to challenge the classic
characteristics of a killer.
