В апреле 2016 года "Интернет Барометр России" завершил опрос российских интернет-пользователей по их потребностям связанным с телекоммуникационным услугам, а также операторам связи которые их предоставляют. В опросе приняло участие 1070 пользователей интернета в возрасте от 18 до 60 и старше лет из различных регионов России. Ниже представлены краткие результаты этого исследования: Если бы российским пользователям интернета пришлось бы отказываться от всех телекоммуникационных услуг и необходимо было бы выбрать только одну, то на первом месте по популярности оказался бы мобильный интернет. Как самую необходимую услугу связи его указали 35% опрошенный. На втором месте по популярности оказалась голосовая мобильная связь (27%), на третьем - фиксированный широкополосный интернет (17%), на четвертом - домашний телефон (11%). 9% опрошенных затруднились ответить на данный вопрос, а 1% указали другие телекоммуникационные услуги Кризис - время сокращения домхозяйствами своих расходов и отказ от ненужных трат. В ходе опроса респондентов попросили выбрать три телекоммуникационных услуги от которых они бы отказались в первую очередь. Cамыми бесполезными для потребителей услугами связи от которых опрошенные ради экономии готовы отказаться в первую очередь оказались платное телевиденье (25%), междугородняя и международная связь с домашнего телефона (22%) и сам домашний телефон (20%). В наименьшей степени потребители ради экономии готовы отказаться от фиксированного широкополосного интернета и передачи SMS/MMS (по 9% опрошенных), мобильного интернета (8%) и голосовой мобильной связи (7%) Какую общую оценку от 1 до 5 выставили операторам связи респонденты ? В марте 2016 года "Интернет Барометр России" завершил опрос российских интернет пользователей по их отношению к государству, а также к тем, кто управляет страной. В опросе приняло участие 1552 пользователей интернета в возрасте от 18 до 60 и старше лет из различных регионов России. Ниже представлены краткие результаты этого исследования. С утверждением, что Россию является сформировавшимся демократическим государством, в котором через демократические институты народ может влиять на политику властей, не согласны 44% и скорее не согласны 28% опрошенных. 11% респондентов скорее согласились, а 12% - полностью согласились с этим утверждением. 5% пользователей интернета принявших участие в опросе затруднились с ответом на данный вопрос или высказали свое особое мнение. 33% респондентов считают, что они никаким образом не могут повлиять на власть, чтобы она принимала решения учитывающее их мнение и интересы большинства населения. 28% респондентов полагают, что это возможно сделать, проголосовав на следующих выборов за тех, кто на их взгляд может решить имеющиеся проблемы и будет работать в их интересах. 16% и 7% опрошенных пользователей интернета считают, что заставить власть считаться с их мнением можно только радикальными методами (аналогичным, например, тем которые проводили недавно дальнобойщики) или посредством митингов. Следует отметить рост протестных настроений среди пользователей интернета по сравнению с аналогичным опросом проведенным Интернет Барометром в Ноябре 2015 года. Тогда только 17% считали действенным такие способы давления на власть. Еще 15% полагают, что можно что-то изменить обращаясь напрямую со своими проблемами в государственные органы. Менее 1% респондентов затруднились ответить на данный вопрос. 26% и 29% респондентов скорее одобряют или полностью одобряют действия тех, кто выражает свои несогласие с происходящим в стране посредством митингов или любым другим образом. Еще 16% скорее не одобряют, а 20% категорически не одобряют данный способ выражения несогласия с действиями властей. Еще 9% затруднились обозначить свою позицию по данному вопросу. Cреди главных проблем, которые стоят перед государством, интернет-пользователи назвали: коррупцию (26%), высокое расслоение доходов между богатыми и бедными (22%), низкий уровень жизни больше части населения (21%), низкий уровень демократических свобод (10%), внешние угрозы (8%). Прочие проблемы (мигранты, низкий уровень медицинского обслуживания, высокая инфляции и обесценивание рубля и т.п) главными проблемами страны считают около 14% опрошенных (каждая их этих проблем набрала менее 2%).

В опросе приняло участие 1366 пользователей интернета в возрасте от 18 до 60 и старше лет из различных регионов России. Ниже представлены краткие результаты этого исследования. 45% опрошенных российских пользователей интернета не считают себя верующими людьми. 31% - исповедуют православие. На другие другие христианские конфессии (католики, протестанты, униаты, баптисты и др.) пришлось 5%. 4% - исповедуют ислам, 8% указали, что причисляют себя к другим религиям (буддизм, иудаизм, язычество и т.д). 7% респондентов не смогли указать указать конкретную кофессию. Типичными для данной группы людей были ответы "я верю только в Бога а религия это создано человеком ради выгоды","У меня своя религия","Вера и религия - разные понятия в моей системе ценностей" и т.п. Среди интернет-пользователей отнесших себя к той или иной религиозной кофессии строго и неуклонно соблюдают все религиозные предписания только 3%. Строго соблюдают только основные религиозные предписания - 14%. Больше всего среди опрошенных верующих пользователей интернета тех, кто по возможности соблюдает некоторые предписания - 48%. 29% респондентов заявили, что они вообще не соблюдают предписания той религии, которую они исповедуют. 6% затруднились ответить на данный вопрос или выбрали другой вариант ответа (например, указали, что в религия которую они исповедуют нет ни каких догматов) 9% из опрошенных российских пользователей интернета относящих себя к той или иной религиозной конфессии несколько раз в неделю посещают церковь/мечеть/синагогу (др. религиозные учреждения). Один раз в неделю и чаще это делают 8% верующих опрошенных пользователей интернета. 7% - делают это несколько раз в месяц, 18 % несколько раз в год и 13% - раз в год и реже. Больше всего среди опрошенных верующих тех, кто не смог указать точно указать как часто они ходят в церковь и заявивших что идут туда тогда, когда появляется духовная потребность (32%). 13% верующих указали, что они по тем или иным причинам (например, нет рядом или принципиально) вообще не посещают церковь или другие религиозные учреждения

Mental health has been in the news quite a bit lately. Dozens of U.S. states are currently suing Meta for contributing to the youth mental health crisis by inserting addictive features into their products, while the U.S. Surgeon General is touring the nation to bring awareness to the growing epidemic of loneliness and isolation. The country has endured periods of low national morale, such as in the 1970s when high inflation and the energy crisis worsened public sentiment following the Vietnam War. The current mood, however, feels different. Gallup recently reported that national mental health is at an all-time low, with few bright spots to lift spirits. To better understand how Americans are feeling and their attitudes towards mental health in general, ThinkNow conducted a nationally representative quantitative survey of 1,500 respondents and found some interesting differences among ethnic, age and gender groups. Technology For example, 52% agree that technology and social media have a negative impact on mental health, but when broken out by race, 61% of Whites felt technology had a negative effect, and only 48% of Hispanics thought it did. While technology has helped us keep in touch with friends and family in faraway places, it appears to have degraded our ability to connect in person. Staying connected online is a double-edged sword since the same news feed that brings us pictures of the grandkids and fluffy kittens also feeds us news about the wars in Israel and Ukraine, the dysfunction in Washington, the latest mass shooting and the climate crisis. Hispanics may have a built-in defense against the isolation technology breeds, owing to their large, multigenerational households, strong social support systems, and tendency to use social media to stay connected with relatives abroad. Age and Gender When asked how individuals rate their mental health, men rate it higher than women by 11 percentage points, and Baby Boomers rank it highest at 83%, saying it’s good or excellent vs. 57% of Gen Z saying the same. Gen Z spends the most amount of time on social media, so the notion that social media negatively affects mental health appears to be correlated. Unfortunately, Gen Z is also the generation that’s least comfortable discussing mental health concerns with healthcare professionals. Only 40% of them state they’re comfortable discussing their issues with a professional compared to 60% of Millennials and 65% of Boomers. Race Affects Attitudes As seen in previous research conducted by ThinkNow, Asian Americans lag other groups when it comes to awareness of mental health issues. Twenty-four percent of Asian Americans believe that having a mental health issue is a sign of weakness compared to the 16% average for all groups. Asians are also considerably less likely to be aware of mental health services in their communities (42% vs. 55%) and most likely to seek out information on social media (51% vs. 35%).

Mental health has been in the news quite a bit lately. Dozens of U.S. states are currently suing Meta for contributing to the youth mental health crisis by inserting addictive features into their products, while the U.S. Surgeon General is touring the nation to bring awareness to the growing epidemic of loneliness and isolation. The country has endured periods of low national morale, such as in the 1970s when high inflation and the energy crisis worsened public sentiment following the Vietnam War. The current mood, however, feels different. Gallup recently reported that national mental health is at an all-time low, with few bright spots to lift spirits. To better understand how Americans are feeling and their attitudes towards mental health in general, ThinkNow conducted a nationally representative quantitative survey of 1,500 respondents and found some interesting differences among ethnic, age and gender groups. Technology For example, 52% agree that technology and social media have a negative impact on mental health, but when broken out by race, 61% of Whites felt technology had a negative effect, and only 48% of Hispanics thought it did. While technology has helped us keep in touch with friends and family in faraway places, it appears to have degraded our ability to connect in person. Staying connected online is a double-edged sword since the same news feed that brings us pictures of the grandkids and fluffy kittens also feeds us news about the wars in Israel and Ukraine, the dysfunction in Washington, the latest mass shooting and the climate crisis. Hispanics may have a built-in defense against the isolation technology breeds, owing to their large, multigenerational households, strong social support systems, and tendency to use social media to stay connected with relatives abroad. Age and Gender When asked how individuals rate their mental health, men rate it higher than women by 11 percentage points, and Baby Boomers rank it highest at 83%, saying it’s good or excellent vs. 57% of Gen Z saying the same. Gen Z spends the most amount of time on social media, so the notion that social media negatively affects mental health appears to be correlated. Unfortunately, Gen Z is also the generation that’s least comfortable discussing mental health concerns with healthcare professionals. Only 40% of them state they’re comfortable discussing their issues with a professional compared to 60% of Millennials and 65% of Boomers. Race Affects Attitudes As seen in previous research conducted by ThinkNow, Asian Americans lag other groups when it comes to awareness of mental health issues. Twenty-four percent of Asian Americans believe that having a mental health issue is a sign of weakness compared to the 16% average for all groups. Asians are also considerably less likely to be aware of mental health services in their communities (42% vs. 55%) and most likely to seek out information on social media (51% vs. 35%).
