2. Global warming
• What is global warming?
-the increase in the average temperature of the
Earth's near-surface air and oceans since the
mid-20th century and its projected
continuation
3. How Global Warming Happens?
Carbon Dioxide (CO2)
Fossil fuels (coal, oil, natural gas)
16. What is a green house?
• A greenhouse is a structure with a glass or plastic
roof and frequently glass or plastic walls; it heats
up because incoming solar radiation from the sun
warms plants, soil, and other things inside the
building faster than heat can escape the
structure.
• Air warmed by the heat from hot interior surfaces
is retained in the building by the roof and wall.
These structures range in size from small sheds to
very large buildings.
Green house effects
17. Example of the
Greenhouse Effect
The Sun’s energy
passes through the
car’s windshield.
This energy (heat)
is trapped inside
the car and cannot
pass back through
the windshield,
causing the inside
of the car to warm
up.
