2. This short story is
about a young
couple who moved
into their new home
in a unfamiliar,
recently built
neighbourhood.
3. When they wake up in
the morning, the woman
goes down to the
kitchen to make
breakfast, sets the table
and calls her husband to
come and eat with her.
4. As they eat, the young woman looks out
the window and notices that the
neighbour is hanging out her wash.
She comments to her husband, "That
laundry is not very clean. I don't think
she knows how to wash properly.
Maybe she needs better
laundry soap.“
Her husband looked
outside, but didn't
make any comments.
5. Every time the neighbour hung out her
laundry, the young wife would make
the same comments and the husband
would remain silent .
6. A few weeks later, the couple was sitting
at the table eating and the neighbour
came outside to hang out her laundry.
The woman said to her husband, "Look ,
she has learned how to wash her clothing
properly. It is nice and clean. I wonder
who showed her how to do it?"
7. The husband said to his wife, "I got up
early this morning and cleaned our
windows."
8. This is what happens with life.
What we see depends on how
we are looking at it.
Is our window of life clean and
pure or do we need to clean it?
