Day 1: Ho Chi Minh Arrival (D)
Today, you are well come at the airport in Ho Chi Minh city, also called Saigon. This is the largest city
in Vietnam and is the nation's economic capital. The metropolitan area Hồ Chí Minh City and
surrounding towns is populated by more than 9 million.
We take a short city tour to visit the must to see places in the city including the Reunification Palace,
War Remnants Museum and Notre Dame Cathedral. You will also admire the many beautiful French
colonial buildings such as the main post office and the former Hotel de Ville (city hall). If time permits,
we will also visit the bustling Cho Lon Market (Chinatown). This trip helps you view the city from
another perspective and to see the abundance of fresh local produce that is such an important feature
of Vietnamese cuisine.

Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City - Cu Chi Tunnel (B)
Today, we will head out of town to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, which is an extensive underground
network of approximately 200 kilometers of tunnels dug initially by the Viet Minh and then expanded
by the Viet Cong. Here contains hospitals, plus accommodation and schools, and were used
extensively for refuge and storage and also utilized as a military base for the Viet Cong close to
Saigon.
In the afternoon, you are free for shopping or exploring the city in your own way. Do ask our guide's
suggestion on where and what to do.

2. Day 3: Ho Chi Minh - Cai Be – Tra On (B/L/D)
The Mekong Delta (Vietnamese: đồng bằng sông Cửu Long “Nine Dragon river delta”) is the region in
southwestern Vietnam where the Mekong River approaches and empties into the sea through a
network of distributaries. The Mekong delta region encompasses a large portion of southeastern
Vietnam of 39,000 square kilometers. The size of the area covered by water depends on the season. A
cruise on the Mekong river is a great experience to watch the daily life of the locals.
8:00: Pick up at the hotel by shuttle bus for about 3 hour drive before boarding Le Cochinchine boat.
Enjoy welcome drink. We will then transfer to a local boat for an extensive visit of Cai Be: the floating
market, the mazes of waterway, local pop-rice and sweets production. And visit colonial buildings, old
houses, delightful flower gardens and local coconut candy and rice paper manufacturers.
Le Cochinchine continues its cruise to Cochien. We will have lunch served on board. After lunch, we
will have a very interesting visit to local village on foot or by bicycle on the footpaths of the
countryside to discover tropical fruit orchards and the local people's activities. Visit a cottage industry,
a local farm and sample seasonal fruits. Our boat cruises on the Mekong River while we are taking in
the beautiful scenery. Enjoy an aperitif over the sunset and have dinner on board.

Day 4: Tra On - Can Tho - Ho Chi Minh (B)

The morning bobbling commotion of Mekong river life comes to life for another lovely day our boat set
sails to Cantho through tributary and canals.
Transfer to Cairang: one of the most bustling floating markets in Mekong. We go for a walk along the
canals and the palm-shaded creek to see local houses and green orchards, ship building yards, rural
and water activities in full swing. We will board back at noon, with a welcome-back drink, checkout
and clear the bill. We will disembark in Can Tho and take the drive back to Ho Chi Minh city. You are
free for your personal activities.

Day 5: Ho Chi Minh City - Da Lat (B) (B)
Morning we take a short excursion by air to Da Lat - a beautiful town in the central highlands, which
was developed by the French colonialists as a health resort and hunting center, is a popular tourist
destination. Đà Lạt's specific sights are pine wood (forming the name: "City of thousands of pine
trees") with twisting roads and tree marigold blossom in the winter. This city has a unique temperate
weather in Vietnam's otherwise tropical climate. Mist covering the valleys almost year-round leads to
its name "City of eternal spring."
We spend this afternoon visiting Da Lat Cathedral and Central Market where we might be bewildered
with a riot of multi-colored flowers as well as various kinds of fresh vegetable and mouthwatering
fruits. We continue to Linh Son Pagoda, which was built in 1938 on a hill overlooking the centre of Da
Lat. The last place today is Minh Tam flower garden – the biggest flower garden in Da Lat.

Day 6: Da Lat - Nha Trang (B) (B)
Located on the South Central Coast of Vietnam, Nha Trang is well known for its pristine beaches and
excellent scuba diving, spa and sea sport activities. It is fast becoming a popular destination for
international tourists, attracting large numbers travelers. Nha Trang is already very popular with
Vietnamese tourists and is widely considered as amongst the world's most beautiful bays. Tourists are
3. welcome to participate in the Sea Festival, held biennially. Nha Trang was proud to host the Miss
Universe 2008 Pageant on July 14, 2008 and it will also do Miss World 2010.
We will take a drive to Nha Trang. We have lunch upon arrival and visit the Po Nagar Cham Tower.
The tower was constructed by the Cham in honor of Yang Ino Po Ngar, the mother of the kingdom. It
was occupied by the local Buddhists of Nha Trang for prayers and worship. The Po Nagar Kalan is a
structure in dazzling colors and with amazing architecture. The well known Oceanographic Institute
will also be visited. You will then have chance to deep your self in mud and swim in mineral water at
the Thap Ba Hot Spring to gain health and refeshment.

Day 7: Glass boat trip on Nha Trang bay (B/L)
Our unforgettable boat tour with glass-bottom boat starts at 8.00 am from your hotel to Cau Da port
by bus. Before embarking on boat, you are invited to visit Oceanographic Institute, where you can see
the whole selection of sea creatures in Nha Trang bay. Then you take shuttle speed boat on the site of
the institute & be transferred to Mun island, where glass bottom boat standby takes you around this
island. You can see the beauty of the live coral reefs, sea plants & creatures of Nha Trang bay by
looking through the glass bottom of the boat whilst cruising around Mun island. At 11.00 am the
glass-bottom boat will call at Dam Bay, the south east bay of Tre Island with a clean, quite beach &
crystal clear water. There seafood lunch will be ready for your hungry belly. Relaxing or doing optional
water sports after lunch such as jetski, parasailing, snorkeling, kayaking, swimming….is available for
your choice. Shuttle speed boat then transfers you back for a short visit to Tri Nguyen Aquarium
around 2.00 pm before being back to the shore. Tour ends at 3.00 pm. Please come & enjoy

Day 8: Nha Trang - Da Nang - Hoian (B)
After breakfast we depart by flight for Hoi An. Upon arrival, we stop en route to visit the Cham
Museum in Da Nang. This structure is home to Vietnam's largest collection of Cham treasures.
Continue to the riverside town of Hoi An which was originally a Cham port town, but has been
influenced down the centuries by a myriad of traders from various cultures. There is a distinctly
Chinese appearance with pagodas and assembly halls scattered along the small streets. Hoi An was
once a bustling port in centuries gone by, before the river silted up. We spend the rest time to visit
Hoian ancient town with all major interesting sites: Ong Pagoda, Hoi An Museum, Japanese Covered
Bridge, Tan Ky Old House, Assembly Hall of Cantonese Chinese Congregation.

Day 9: Hoian - My Son half day tour (B)
This tour is a must-see for those who are interested in architecture and ancient civilizations. My Son
sanctuary was an imperial city during the Champa dynasty, between the 4th and the 12th centuries.
We travel about 50km from Hoi An to My Son sanctuary. It comprises many Champa temples, in a
valley roughly two kilometers wide, surrounded by two mountain ranges. It was the site of religious
ceremony of kings of the Champa dynasty, and was also a burial place of Champa royals and national
heroes. The My Son temple complex is one of the foremost temple complexes of Hinduism in South
East Asia and is the foremost heritage site of this nature in Vietnam. Though the complex has been
destroyed over time, we still see many majestic ancient ruins of temples in the area. We also spend
time to visit a silk handicraft village along the Thu Bon River on the way back to Hoi An.
4. We enjoy a free afternoon to make the most of delightful Hoian and its surrounding areas. The market
is a good place to buy silk that can be made up into fine garments, all within a day. Close to town
locates the Cua Dai beach, which can be easily reached by bicycle, is an ideal place to swim and relax.

Day 10: Hoian - Hue (B)
Hue is located in Thua Thien prefecture and is in the central part of Vietnam, 660 km from Ha Noi and
1080 km from Saigon. Many historical buildings are located in Hue, largely a legacy from its time as a
capital of the Nguyen dynasty (1802-1945).
We depart Hoian in the morning and arrive Hue in the afternoon. The winding roads begin as we make
our way up the spectacular Hai Van Pass. At the top of the pass we stop to admire a fantastic view
north to Lang Co and south to Da Nang. We will visit the the beautiful riverside pagoda of Thien Mu,
which now becomes the symbol of Hue. And we see the Imperial Citadel and the Purple Forbidden
City. This royal residence was all but destroyed during the 1968 Tet Offensive; however it is still
fascinating to walk among the ruins. We will then visit the Minh Mang Tomb and Thien My Pagoda
before taking a walk to the bustling Dong Ba Market that sells a wide variety of local goods and
handicrafts. Along the way we pass many fantastic eating spots, all ideal for visitors to sample some
local delicacies.

Day 11: Hue - Hanoi (B)
Hanoi is the second largest city of Vietnam with total population of over 6 million people. As the
capital of Vietnam for almost a thousand years, the enchanting Hanoi is considered to be one of
cultural centers of Vietnam, where most of Vietnamese dynasties had left behind their imprint. Even
though some relics have not survived through wars and time, the city still has many interesting
cultural and historic monuments for visitors and residents alike.
You are free until transfer to the airport for the flight to Hanoi. Here, we will have a guided half - day
tour of Hanoi, visiting the Ngoc Son Temple and the legend Hoan Kiem Lake (Lake or the restored
sword). We will then enjoy the unique traditional performance of Water Puppet show and have dinner
at the local restaurant.

Day 12: Hanoi - Sapa (B)
Today, we will spend a full day to visit the city. We start with visit to President Ho Chi Minh's
mausoleum and residence. We also visit the famous One Pillar Pagoda nearby. Leaving the President's
complex, we continue to visit the Temple of Literature (Văn Miếu). Although several Văn Miếu can be
found throughout Vietnam, the most prominent and famous is that situated in the city of Hanoi, and
was functioned as Vietnam's first university
After lunch in a local restaurant, we go to the Museum of Ethnology, which is an excellent museum
containing the ethnic costumes of the various minorities of Vietnam, as well as relics, tools and even
full size replicas of their homes and buildings. You are then free for personal activities before transfer
to the station for night train to Lao Cai.

Day 13: Sapa – Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van - Sapa (B/L)
Sa Pa is a quiet mountain town and home to a great diversity of ethnic minority peoples. Most of the
ethnic minority people work their land on sloping terraces since the vast majority of the land is
5. mountainous. Their staple foods are rice and corn. Rice, by its very nature of being a labour intensive
crop, makes the daily fight for survival paramount. The unique climate in Sapa has a major influence
on the ethnic minorities who live in the area. With sub-tropical summers, temperate winters and 160
days of mist annually, the influence on agricultural yields and health related issues are significant.
Today, upon arrival, we will transfer straight to Sapa. Here we have breakfast at the local restaurant
and rest for few minutes before starting 6km of walking down to the south east of Sapa along the side
of Muong Hoa valley to Y Linh Ho village of the Black H’mong. A 2 km-trekking down to Lao Chai
village, through terraced rice fields to Ta Van village of the Dzay minority people. On the way, we
would have chance to learn about the local agriculture producing customs and daily lifestyle. We have
lunch at a local family, offering you a worth chance to learn about the local house architecture, which
is full of their daily life styles and exclusive custom. We will then get back to Sapa by jeep or
motorbike.

Day 14: Sapa - Cat Cat & Sin Chai - Hanoi (B/L)
We start a walk down to the South-west of Sapa (around 4 km) to visit Cat Cat village of the Black
H’mong. Relax at the food of the stunning waterfall and the vestige of a hydroelectric power station
that was constructed by the French during the colonial time in Vietnam. We enjoy picnic lunch by the
side of the river, and trek for 6 km to Sin Chai village, which is located at the foot of Fansipan
Mountain, “the roof of Vietnam and Indochina”. From here you can enjoy huge stunning landscapes
before climbing up on the way back to Sapa. You are free to explore the town or nearby market until
transfer to the station for night train to Hanoi.

Day 15: HN - Ha Long (B/L/D)
Ha Long Bay has twice been recognized by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage Area for its
exceptional scenic beauty and outstanding geological and geomorphic values. Thousands of islands
emerging uneven in the fanciful waves look strong and magnificent but also mild and vivid. Amidst
these islands, we feel as if we were astray in a petrified legendary world.
Early arrival in Hanoi. Pickup for the transfer to the restaurant to have breakfast and refreshment still
transfer to Halong bay. Upon arrival to the Halong bay, we transfer by tender to the boat – enjoy
Welcome Drink. We will enjoy deluxe Vietnamese set menu while cruising on the bay. We are free for
personal activities to relax until the boat stops at the Titop Island for 45 minutes for swimming,
relaxing or climbing up to the top to have beautiful view of Ha Long. We will take more cruise to the
Bat Cave area for a 40 minute kayaking program to the nearby Bat Cave and lagoon and surrounding
waters. We will come back to the boat for dinner and overnight there at the Luon Bo area. You can
enjoy evening activities including: film entertainment in the dining room at approximately 9:15, board
games and playing cards are available, join squid fishing from the boat with our crew. Also at this time
we offer, when possible - depending on weather conditions, an excursion to a nearby squid fishing
boat. We travel by tender and you will be able to board the squid boat and see how the local
fishermen catch squid and other fish, the excursion lasts about 45 minutes.

Day 16: Ha Long Discovery (B/L/D)
We will be waken up early by birds' song. If lucky enough, you will have chance to view beautiful
sunrise emerging from Islands.
6. 6:45 Coffee, tea and breakfast pastries served in the dining room. The boat arrives at the Surprise
Cave area, there is a small fishing village here. We will transfer by tender to the “Day Boat” and begin
to cruise to some of Ha Long Bay’s more secluded and untouched locales after having breakfast. Exact
locations depend on tide conditions. A leisurely day of kayaking and swimming will be an unforgettable
memory with a multi-course lunch at mid-day.
16:00 Return by tender to the Indochina Sails boat for the cruise back to Luon Bo area for overnight.

Day 17: Ha Long - Hanoi (B/L)
Today, you can wakeup early to watch sunrise, or lazily sleep until transfer by tender to the Surprise
Cave at around 8:00. This is one of the finest and widest grottoes of Ha Long Bay. We walk up the
100 steps to the entrance of the cave and tour on foot for approximately 45 minutes. The Cave covers
some 10,000 m2. Inside the cave, there have thousands of stalactites and stalagmites along the 500-
meter paved passage. Light posts line the passage and serve as signposts and ornaments. The lighting
system with elegant styles adds more charm to its beauty. At 9:00, we will return to the boat take
time to freshen up and check-out of cabins. You leave heavy luggage outside of the cabins (staff will
transfer to the pier. We enjoy breakfast set menu or buffet in the dining room and clear bills for your
optional activities and drinks after the meal. We will come back to the pier at about 11:00 and transfer
by tender to the pier, relax inside the pier building while waiting for return transportation to Hanoi.

Day 18: Hanoi departure (B)
Free at leisure until transfer to the airport for departure. Tour ends.
