Every year hundreds of millions of tons of chewing gum are consumed worldwide, but gum is non-biodegradable and cleaning it from streets and sidewalks is expensive. However, the document presents creative ways to reuse chewing gum through art, design, and recycling into new plastic products rather than littering. One inventor created a method to convert used gum into a polymer that can be used to make various plastic items. The document encourages thinking of other innovative uses for chewing gum beyond disposal.

Singapore banned the sale and chewing
of chewing gum in 1992
in order to keep the city clean.

6. But we can stop to litter
