First Steps In 1980, Dr. Reuven Bar-On started the work in this area, and he noticed that some people who are not necessarily very smart have successful life, and the others who have all the intellectual capabilities have problems at some point. He defined the EQ-Emotional Intelligence Quotient which measures the level of emotional intelligence that a person has.
