The document summarizes the scoping process for an IPCC special report on the impacts of global warming of 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels. It discusses the scoping meeting which developed an outline for the report, the selection of 86 experts from 589 nominations to participate in the report, and the timeline and key dates for developing and approving the report by late 2018. The report will assess mitigation and adaptation pathways, impacts on natural and human systems, and interactions with sustainable development.
