Testing, Fitness for Purpose, Final Product, Commitment and
Involvement

2. Testing
The testing showed me that overall the end product was
successful. The majority of the focus group found that the
product was aesthetically pleasing, relevant, appropriate
and inviting. This fits my aims and the product’s criteria.

3. Fitness For Purpose
By creating a fully functioning animation I further
developed my knowledge of animation. I explored the use
of Animation through the use of tutorials and this aided
the production of my final product.
Purpose:
 To create a new logo for the Ben Kende Foundation
 To create an additional animation logo to allow people
to get to the website more efficiently (i.e. advertising
the website on another one to increase awareness)
 The logo must symbolize what Ben Kende was like, a
successful, strong and driven rugby player.

4. Final Product
My final product did fulfill my objective, however I could not add a link to
the animation going to the website as I had to export the animation as a
video clip and links would not work on this format.
I tried to make the man throw the ball whislt running but it was too
complicated to carry out successfully and so I altered the animation to just
the man running.
I learned many useful skills from the tutorials I collected. The tutorials on
exporting the animation were particularly useful as there were many
glitches the first time I tried to export it.
The animation file is the correct format and size so that it can be put onto
all types of computers (Macs, Dells, etc.)
Overall I think the final product was quite successful as the testing shows
that it was aesthetically pleasing and fit the purpose. The clients are
pleased with the end result and will be putting it into use very soon.

5. Commitment and Involvement
I think I could have organized myself much better for this
project as everything was very rushed towards the end
whereas I could have achieved better results if I had
spread out the work better throughout the year.
However, I still fulfilled the criteria and met the fitness
for purpose, client preference and my objectives.

6. Conclusion
All in all, I achieved most of my aims and objectives.
However I did make slight adjustments to the animation
(taking away the idea of the man throwing the ball) and I
was unable to add a link to the website as I had planned
due to the file formatting. The end result still met the
client’s preference and allowed me to explore my use of
animation thoroughly and learn from the experience.
