[object Object],LETHE  2° Meeting 02.11.07 Italian Research on EI “ EI encompasses student’s ability and performance; it is multidimensional; it is intricately related to human growth and cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development; it reflects the whole person; it is not related to a single instance, but occurs across time and levels, through a student’s life in school, into post secondary years and during working life." 3. To deepen the conceptual characteristics and to test in the school the operational modalities of an educational environment full of significant learning opportunities and  properly supported by technologies, able to prevent the dispersion and to foster the self-orientation of the pupil (pedagogic, reflective and collective intelligence);  4. To deepen the meaning of the relationship teacher/pupil, above all in the circumstances of difficulty and disease (emotional, ethic intelligence);  5. To manage training activities of the educators about the contents above with groups of teachers from various schools, using participatory and interactive methodologies (academic, reflective and collective intelligence).  “ EI into schools:  QUITE Project LETHE  2° Meeting 02.11.07 Italian Research on EI
So, the project, through inter-school work groups, supported by consultants, aims to:   " search the essential theoretical and conceptual instruments that can inspire the educational action and the reflection on it;   " analyze examples of real situations, by underlining their problematic aspects and determining the improvement prospects;   " elaborate and pilot operative models that can be used in various contexts;   " define models of documentation of the experience that allow their communication with the aim of creating a kind of exchange where the good practices can be optimized” EI into schools:  QUITE Project LETHE  2° Meeting 02.11.07 Italian Research on EI

The activities aim to develop: Emotional skills:   identifying and labelling feelings; expressing feelings; assessing the intensity of feelings; managing feelings; delaying gratification; controlling impulses; reducing stress; knowing the difference between feelings and actions  Cognitive skills:   conducting an inner dialogue to deal with situations; understanding signs of emotional states; using problem-solving and decision-making strategies; understanding the perspectives of others; understanding norms of  behaviour; adopting a positive attitude to life; developing realistic self-awareness  Behavioural skills:   non-verbal; verbal  They will cater for the emotional needs of children related to their age and situation EI into schools:  FOR MOTHER EARTH®  project LETHE  2° Meeting 02.11.07 Italian Research on EI
In the Italian educational system many initiatives that aim to  develop the multiple intelligences have been analysed, even if  these paths are not qualified under the name EI. Different didactical models have been used: pedagogy for  objectives, didactics of the research, laboratories system,  didactics for concepts, integrator background, conceptual  maps… EI into schools:  other paths of emotional education   in the schools LETHE  2° Meeting 02.11.07 Italian Research on EI

Centro Studi H änsel e Gretel adopts a ludic methodolology to  encourage the multiple intelligences in its training and  sensibilization initiatives. Hundreds of schools, authorities, childhood and adolescence  operators have been involved in the Centro Studi activities,  within various projects addressed to adults and under-ages,  in particular on the following themes: listening, communication,  conflict, group dynamics, disease signals, prevention, abuse.
