It is located in the centre of
Thessaloniki.
It is between Delmouzou and Agias
Sofias street.
3. History
It was founded by Alexandros Delmouzos in 1934 . He was the pioneer of
dimotiki glossa (δημοτική γλώσσα) .
4. Alexandros Delmouzos trusted
the design of the school to
Dimitris Pikionis.
The style of the school was
astonished by the traditional
macedonian architecture.
In 1934, dated as the
beginning of the
Experimental School of
A.U.Th. The first
headmaster was Vasilios
Tatakis.
5. Students needed to
take exams to
register to the
school.
But, in 1976, the
exams for the
acceptance of the
students in the
School were ended.
9. Visions of Alexandros Delmouzos
Alexandros Delmouzos had a plan for our school.
He wanted the teachers to use new and innovative
methods of teaching. The school adapted the new
methods according to students needs.
It was the first school in Greece that it
introduced the group work and the projects.
