- 6. Express License • Spells out details of what the author is releasing • Can be done by attaching a License to your posting or website • Lets it be known that you want your work to be the flow of creativity (Harper, 2007)

Teach Act cont. • Section 110(2) of the Copyright Act – Revised and expanded • Materials need to be pared down – Reasonable and limited portions • Audiovisual and musical shown as clips only • Applies to accredited nonprofit educational institutions • Not extended to works produced or marketed for in-class use (Harper, 2007)
- 11. Orphan Works • Copyrighted material whose owner can not be found • Books, music, record, films, etc – Work not registered – Sold rights, but did not register transfer – Owner’s death, heirs not found • Can be risky if owner emerges (Public Knowledge, 2011)
