1. Ever wonder what the Unicorns do during language learning time? (Literacy)

2. We write in our journals We like to write about, our families, special events, holidays, things we like, our friends, imaginary stories and so much more!

3. We listen to stories.

4. Last week, we listened to “Miss Mary Mack” then drew and wrote about our favorite parts of the story. This week we listened to “Going to the Zoo” then designed our own zoo complete with signs and labels for the animal enclosures.

5. Here we are designing our Zoos.

6. We practice our handwriting Here we are practicing the correct letter formation for the letter “Ff”.

7. We read big books. This week we read “Brown Bear Brown Bear what do you see?” by Bill Martin Jr. Then we made our own Brown Bear books Last week, we read “The very hungry caterpillar” by Eric Carle and we sequenced the food that the caterpillar ate.

8. Here we are making our own Brown Bear, Brown Bear books.

9. We learn phonics. Yy is for yak. Zz is for zebra.

10. We play games.

11. We have reading groups.

14. We make things at writing center.

15. We play literacy games on the computer.
