  1. This slide shows the job aid in the Appendix. Direct participants to the job aid in the Appendix. This just provides a quick look at the fact that for each phase of DMAIC there are objectives, Main Activities, a host of tools and techniques that can be applied to achieve a defined set of deliverables. At this point in time we show this slide simply to establish the robustness of the methodology – don’t dwell on the specifics. You can see from the column headings that the DMAIC model allows you to manage projects in a manageable way. Give perspective of team member & sponsor: I know what their deliverables are supposed to be. (sponsor) I know what my deliverables are so it’s easier for me to do this since I know what is expected of me. (team member) This slide also shows that the DMAIC model incorporates tools including analytical tools as well as where to use them in the model.
