Cutting And Sanding, Long way to go!
What I Did?
Today I have finished off all of my cutting pieces, my next stage is to start using disk
sander and sand all the corners round, for children safety issue. I actually find it hard to
make a perfect round corner, because you need to use one time going around everything
and make all the pieces corner same round, and I am kind of afraid of Disk Sander,
because I am scared if there is a mistake something bad will happen. So what I basically
did today for these double period finished off my pieces with Coping Saw. But then again I
ran out of them, but Mr. Anderson suggested I can just use
Me using Gent saw cutting little Lisa sanding her round shape, Me using coping saw cutting
part of the head shape similar to me, wearing goggles round shape of the head
a gent saw to cut of
that piece. After then I start sanding. I like to use sand paper more, but it is not accurate
and doesn’t look professional, so I will still use Disk Sander.
AOI/Learner Profile
The AOI i have been focusing on today is Community and Service, because I have to think
meanwhile working that I’m creating this project for another target, the task is for
educational and children’s purpose. So I have to make sure my project requires the
requirements and is safe for the children. The Learner Profile I focused this lesson is
Knowledge, because I had to use my previous knowledge about the tools and how to use
them correctly and in what time. And also my knowledge on using Disk Sander, the rules
of using it.

2. March 28th, 2011 monday
Today was pretty intense, even though it doesn’t feel that bad and scary when using it. I
actually feel very successful when done. But when I need to start using ijust start getting
stressed.
Whatʼs Next?
Next is going to be keep disk sanding and then also filing. If I’m done and still have time I
will start painting or start making my wheels using the pedestal drill, I will ask Mr. Anderson
for that.
