2. Aims and Purpose
• To collectively get my ideas together and
enable me to compare and evaluate them.
• By doing this I am also getting an audience
opinion and preferences which will lead me to
make the best magazine I can.
3. Idea one.
• Genre- Hip Hop/Rap
• Target Audience- Mainly Males between the
age of 16-25.
• House style- Not too many bright colours,
more informal language style which most
people can understand, include slang words
too as this is what is included in there raps.
• Features to include- a day in the life of…. (a big
rap star), album reviews
5. Idea two.
• Genre- Indie Rock
• Target Audience- female and Males- 16-22 years
old.
• House style- more colourful but light shades,
informal/easy to understand. More of an
interesting/different layout compared to a
standard/structured one.
• Features to include- best of British bands, up and
coming bands/artists
• Images to include-
7. Idea three.
• Genre- Dance/Trance
• Target Audience- 18-25 year olds, mainly
males who enjoy music in clubs such as fabric
• House style- Electric bright bold colour
schemes similar to laser lights at raves.
• Features to include- top 10 djs/clubs, news on
eletronic music making software,
• Images to include-
8.
9. Peer Feedback
Idea 1-
-I could be limiting my audience
-feature ideas were good (especially a day in the
life of…)
-Think the house style sounds the appropriate
choice
-Not thought of as a very wide market?
10. Peer feedback
Idea 2-
-wide popular market, magazine would be
marketable
-features would appeal to a lot of the audience
-images to include suit the genre well
11. Peer feedback
-doesn’t sound like a wide target audience
therefore limiting the people who would buy it
-Ideas of pictures to include seem repetitive may
make the magazine look repetitive too.
-Features to include would interest the target
audience.
12. Final decision
I am going to go with the indie genre magazine
as I feel like this is the best one and along with
the positive feedback would be the best option
to go with.
