3. Door Handles In are science class, students made door handles to remind teacher and students that when leaving the classroom, to turn off the lights, turn heater down and recycle paper.

5. Water Summit Every year, we attend the Water Summit.

6. Christmas Ornaments This year during Christmas time Mrs. Hill had a Ornament contest. Whoever had the most Eco-friendly ornament made up of 75% or more recycled materials gets to have a $20.00 gift card to Barnes and Nobel.

9. Oil Spill On April 29, 2007 around 400 gallons of gas was spilled into Swartz Creek river from a gasoline tanker at the Admiral Petroleum Company on Miller Road. After a storm the storm sewer carried all the gas into the river. Everybody in Swartz Creek were concerned about the life at the river. This was a tuff time for Swartz Creek and our habit that lives here but after Young’s Environmental Cleanup came every body and everything was back to normal.
