This document discusses open educational resources (OER) from a Nordic perspective. It outlines the key benefits of OER, including reduced education costs and increased opportunities for collaboration. However, barriers like a lack of awareness, technical skills, and curriculum support still exist. Based on a case study in Finland, factors like training, easy-to-use tools, personal relationships, and curriculum integration were found to improve OER adoption. The document concludes by presenting nine theses predicting that high-quality OER content and collaborative teaching will become widespread, especially in Nordic countries that may pioneer OER adoption.
