• You lack clarity about what you want to
say

• You don’t want to write more than one
draft so you keep trying to make each
sentence perfect.
• Realize your first draft will not be
your final draft.

• Write in bullet form.
• Write out of sequence.
• Don’t worry about transitions.
• Don’t worry about words. Just get it
down on paper.
