3. We’re a group of students from María Moliner Secondary School in Segovia. We’re going to present to you our city and our school.
4. Segovia is a city located in the centre of Spain, very close to Madrid.

6. OUR CITY Segovia has been declared a World Heritage Site because it is one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
7. Monuments in Segovia. Next we will show you some of our city’s monuments, along with some short captions. We hope you don’t get bored.
8. The Aqueduct was built by the Romans in the first century. It’s so grandiose that legend says that it was built by the devil.
9. The Alcázar Segovia’s castle, the alcázar, was completed between the 12th and 16th centuries. Its current façade, which is largely a result of restorations due to an 1864 fire, has been copied by Walt Disney’s castles.

11. La Casa de los Picos. House-fortress that controlled access to the city through the main gate of the city wall.

13. The City Wall. It was rebuilt in the 11 th century and surrounds Segovia beginning at the Alcázar.
14. The Churches of Segovia Romanesque architecture predominates among Segovian churches . The churches in Segovia were built in the 12th and 13th centuries.
18. Our school is called “María Moliner” It’s located in a neighbourhood called La Albuera and is composed of 1000 students and 100 teachers. Our school
19. We have specific classes for music, technology, labs… The school also offers vocational training programs.
20. Our school has got a bilingual program in which natural sciences and social sciences are taught in English, although we do not all participate in the program.

22. But it’s not all studying. After having lunch and doing our homework, many of us participate in extracurricular activities such as sports, judo, choir, sevillanas…
