AKOnet comprises a group of perfectly integrated software modules that allow providing a
complete solution for controlling and supervising refrigerated facilities tailor-made for each
customer.
The architecture has been designed to solve our customers' current needs but with a
forward looking approach that allows easily adapting to evolutions in the sector and of the
technologies.
Web-oriented and optimised for touch devices
This feature is not new in AKO application architecture, but AKOnet works
with new generation mobile devices and therefore, adapts contents
depending on the device used for consultation.
AKOnet works with a touch-enabled user interface system, unified for all PC
platforms and the most popular mobile devices such as Android, Windows
Mobile, BlackBerry and Apple IPhone.

AKOnet has been designed to be easily installed so that very little computer
knowledge is necessary.
AKOnet is designed to work in Windows environments (Windows XP, Windows

Device Configuration
Devices in AKOnet are treated as pre-configured device libraries, and, therefore, when
the customer installs the product, the devices automatically recognise each other, but
AKOnet allows creating and changing templates so that each facility can be adapted.
AKOnet also allows the remote handling of the devices, and any of their variables can be
modified.

AKOnet allows users to have all the information on their facility (or facilities) graphically
and to do so the software provides two work displays:
• Monitoring by services, in this format each device is displayed as a box where the
most important information (temperatures, alarms and relay statuses) is displayed in
real time.
This format's main feature is that the devices are grouped in tabs, where each tab is a
service (e.g.: Positive store rooms, negative store rooms, …)
• Monitoring by devices, this format displays all of the devices in a list and the most
important information (temperatures, alarms, relay statuses) is displayed on top of each
of them in real time.
This format allows two types of display, technical display designed for fitters, displaying
all of the information and work display, with useful information for the end users.

Graphical Data Monitoring
The graphical data monitoring of the new AKOnet allows easily obtaining the evolution
of the facility.
The software allows monitoring the system's most important variables, from the value
of the probes to the status of each of the relays and alarm status.
When the graph has been obtained, the software allows the following actions:
• Filter by periods of defined dates (Now, 24-hour period, 48-hour period, 1 week, 2
weeks, 1 month and 6 months), and filter by periods defined by the user using
calendars.
• Display graph points, that allows displaying when the sample was taken.
• Update the content either manually or automatically, and in the latter case, by
predefined periods of 1, 5, 15 and 30 minutes.
• Print, that automatically sends the displayed graph to a PDF document.
• Save the series or the graph, and it can be rescued later on.
• List, that displays the information in a list format.
• Browse, that allows browsing to previous and later periods of the graph.

Tabulated Data Monitoring (Reports)
AKOnet contains a specific module that allows obtaining logs of any monitored variable,
and this module called report module provides the following predefined reports:
• Measuring Value Reports (temperature, humidity, etc.)
• Event Report (status of the compressor, fan, defrost, …)
• Alarm Report (maximum, minimum, error in probe alarm, … )
• HACCP Value Report (for devices such as CAMControl, …)
• Access Audit Report (only for Administrator users).
Each report provides a series of filters per facility, service, device and probe that allows
obtaining the required information.
The lists are exportable both to PDF and to Excel, and can also be sent by e-mail to
anybody.
These reports can also be saved in the document management system.

AKOnet has different information connectivity options:
1. Online Access from any browser anywhere in the world.
2. Mobile Access allowing accessing the facility from any Smartphone or tablet pc
device.
3. Sending SMS with the system's alarms, and with vital information on the facility's
status.
4. Sending e-mails notifying alarms, statuses of the facility and sending
documentation.

Task Programming Module
The Task Programming Module is the tool that allows programming task execution over
time.
There are three main types of tasks to be programmed depending on the final outcome:
a) Obtaining data in a report format, such as the report system or periodical sending
of the system status (current temperatures, alarms, …). The final outcome of this
type of task will be a message that will be sent in e-Mail format or as an SMS
b) Modification of the facility's behaviour, that will allow changing the configuration
of the system's parameters. For example, this mechanism can be used to control
the log status of a CAMRegis depending on the time slots, making it only log in
certain time slots.
c) Backup generation, which will allow to create backups without a user having to
generate them.

Synoptic Module
The Synoptic Module is in charge of equipment AKOnet with HMI (Human Machine
Interface)
These functions allow users to display the information of their facility graphically using a
group of controls that simulate the equipment in it, dynamically.
The Synoptic function is based on the idea that it has already worked in our previous
software such as AKO5004, but in AKOnet it is equipped with a new interface for a much
more powerful and reliable design.
The functions of the new synoptic module are:
• Loading an image representing the drawing or structure of the synoptic.
• Freehand drawing of a drawing or structure of the synoptic.
• Representation of industrial controls using specific libraries.
• The graphical representation of the variables of the AKO devices can be included on
this image (temperatures, relay statuses, alarm statuses, …)
• Easy access to the details of the device (current status, graphs and remote
configuration).

AKOnet provides a specific module for document management, where users can list all
the documents belonging to the facility, such as samples lists, drawings of the facility,
graphs on the controls, …
All of the material will be listed in a single point in this way.
Another important feature is that due to AKOnet's characteristics, the information is
totally accessible from Internet.
Information (documents) can be classified by folders, which can be created (by an
administrator user) according to the facility's needs.
The entire application is designed to be able to send any report generated directly to
this module.

In AKOnet Users are associated to User Groups on which the access they have to the
application is defined.
On a Group the following permissions are defined:
•Administration Permission, allowing or refusing users access to the complete
administration module.
•Device Configuration Permission, allowing or refusing users access to any function that
allows modifying the devices (such as remote configuration or change of the set point).
•Graph access permission, allowing or refusing access to the graph generation module.
•Synoptic access permission, allowing or refusing access to the synoptic generation
module.

AKOnet is designed to be able to satisfactorily manage any exception that arises in the
facility and to do so provides different methods for notifying these exceptions:
• Bottom alarm display bar, like in AKO5004, the software has a bottom bar with the
information on the alarms in real time, but with new functions that improve the
presentation of this information:
• Using the controls on the bottom of the bar, we can browse around the existing
alarms.
This control is automatically updated in configurable periods (5 minutes by
default)

AKO Live Update (Update Module)
Like other existing applications and solutions in AKO, AKOnet has a platform in charge of
distributing modifications, corrections and new versions that the solution may have
during its useful life.
The main objective is to prevent our customers having to depend on the distribution of
patches and the installers being responsible for installing them. With this model that has
already been successfully used in SOFTRegis, the application does not require
interaction for the installation of these patches.

AKOnet provides a module to manage backups, that generates and recovers system
backups.
The backup module will allow programming tasks to automatically manage the creation
of backups.
In the same way, administrator users may decide to erase data that has been stored in a
backup, to obtain the optimum performance of the application and very old periods will
not be stored.
AKOnet allows generating backups of both the configuration and data (together or
separately).

Licensing Module
The Licensing Module will be the tool in charge of managing the use of the application,
allowing or refusing the execution of the solution or part of it, depending on what each
customer has contracted and in this way prevent fraudulent copies of it existing.
This module also allows having information on the customers who use our solution.
In other words, for the software to operate in our customers' machines, they will have
to have purchased a licence for it, and if not the application cannot be used (except for
DEMOversion).
The licensing system is based on the use of a HASP key that will be required for the
software to work.
