4. WHAT IS DAQ??
• Data Acquisition is the sampling of real world data
• It is the national instrument which measure the
physical data and convert that data in digital form.
• That digital form is calculated by transducers/other
sensors.
• Process, analyze, store, and display the acquired
data with the help of software
5. SHORT HISTORY
• First in 1963 it invented it's call by IBM 7700 Data
Acquisition System
• IBM 1800 Data Acquisition and Control System.
• In 1974 S-100
• In 1981 IBM Personal Computer and Scientific
Solutions it was the first pc data acquisition system
7. COMPONENTS OF DAQ
• Each data acquisition system has unique
functionality to serve application- specific
requirements, all systems share common
components that include,
• Signals & sensors
• signal conditioning
• DAQ hardware
• computer with software.
8/24/11
9. SIGNAL PROCESSING
• Electrical signals are conditioned so they can be
used by an analog input board. The following
features may be available:
Amplification
Isolation
Filtering
Linearization
10. WHY WE USE OF DAQ ??
• Collecting data from in any physical component is
very time consuming process
• But by the use of DAQ system it allows the
automatic data collection and made it easy.
12. APPLICATION OF DAQ
• THE VARIOUS APPLICATIONS ARE AS UNDER
• Data Acquisition
• Integrated Systems
• Advance control
• Software techniques
• DSP technology
• Case study

16. WHAT IS DATA LOGGER??
• Data logger is an electronic device that records data
over time .
• It is located either with a built in instrument or sensor
via external instruments and sensors.
• digital processor
• They generally are small, battery powered, portable,
and equipped with a microprocessor
17. SHORT HISTORY
First data logger was a CR7.
It was basically invented 28 years before today.
Then made improvement
18. Data logger is a device which is used for
measuring the data
like; if we want to measure the temperature of
railway rail the data logger is attached at various
distance and by the computer device we can see
and compare the whole temputere.
19. TYPES OF DATA LOGGER
Mechanical data logger
Electronic data logger
Wireless data loggers
Temperature , Humidity data logger
20. APPLICATION OF
DATA LOGGER
