The document discusses the results of a survey about breakfast preferences and habits. The survey found that cereal and fry ups were the most popular types of breakfast, and that most people eat breakfast at home and prepare it themselves. A majority of respondents believe breakfast is important, can affect concentration levels, and should be healthy. The document analyzes the benefits and limitations of various survey questions.

There were 18 males and 12 females that filled in this questionnaire.
This pie chart shows that there were 6 more males than females that
filled in this questionnaire which shows biasness towards the mail
audience. Perhaps we should have had asked more females to
balanced the number of the two genders.

There were four different age range that answered this questionnaire. There were:
• 16 people age from 17-24
• 3 people age from 25-32
• 3 people age from 33-40
• 8 people age from 41-45
This pie chart shows that there were more 17-24 year old people that has filled in this questionnaire which shows
biasness towards the age of our target audience. This has influenced us to doing our interview based more on the 17-24
age range. The second biggest age range that has filled in this questionnaire were people aged from 41-45, perhaps we
could use this to contrast what the 17-24 year old people think about breakfast to the 41-45 year old people.

This bar chart shows most people eat breakfast every time and most of the time. Perhaps the
disadvantage of this question is that it doesn’t give any reason why people only have breakfast
rarely, sometimes, most of the time or every time; perhaps we could have had more
qualitative question so that we can analyse their reason. Also this question doesn’t show who
(gender/age) eats breakfast rarely, sometimes, most of the time or every time. Having said
that this bar chart does show some beneficial outcomes as we can clearly state that there are
ranges of answers therefore making it un biased.

This bar chart portrays what types of breakfast people favours the most. This bar chart is
beneficial as we can clearly state that most people has two different types of breakfast ; fry up
and cereal which can help us on which type of breakfast we should include in our
documentary. Having said that a disadvantage of this question is that it doesn’t state why
people prefers certain type of breakfast than other; it could be that they are allergic to it or if
they are vegetarian, fruitarian or vegan.

This question shows where people have their breakfast. An advantage of this
question is that it conveys where most people have their breakfast which is a t
home, therefore giving us an insight into where we should conduct our
interviews. Having said that this question doesn’t show the reason why people
have breakfast at home, at school/college/work or on the move. Perhaps
people may not have enough time to prepare breakfast because of certain
duties such as work.

This questions shows who prepares people’s breakfast. This question is

The majority of people asked eat their
breakfast between 6 and 9 am which
means they have to get up relatively
early. This can effect what they have
for breakfast and even where they eat
it if they have to get up and go in a
rush. It doesn’t show why they get up
at this time but can help form a
relationship between people that eat
breakfast early or later and how this
can effect work levels throughout the
day.
