Processing this information is vital in understanding changes in land use, and developing strategies to plan for the impacts of incoming development. This presentation will look at how the City of Austin leveraged FME to create a process to automate the creation and publication of geospatial and non-geospatial datasets for applications for site plans, subdivisions and zoning changes to disseminate information to the public as well as other city departments and organizations.

With the release of Esri's ArcGIS Pipeline Referencing (APR) in early 2017, Memphis Light, Gas & Water (MLGW) identified the extensions as desirable tools to manage their gas transmission assets. The key driver for MLGW was the ability to utilize software within the Esri stack for editing linear referenced pipelines, viewing and reporting. This presentation will focus on MLGW’s APR implementation and include elements around the hardware/software architecture, Utility Pipeline Data Model, data migration across multiple sources, implementation of the Esri software and creation of a viewing/reporting application within Web App Builder.

In 2015, CoServ made the determination to migrate all asset data management into IBM Maximo. We opted to leverage ArcGIS for Server as our main integration point between Maximo and GIS. By hosting our utility infrastructure data in feature services, we allowed Maximo to view spatially enabled information for visualization within its own environment. Additionally, Maximo updates feature classes and their related tables based upon changes made in Maximo seamlessly through the services. By leveraging Global IDs and GUIDs as the direct linkage between Maximo assets and GIS features, CoServ is now able to ingest Maximo assets directly into the GIS environment. This presented GIS end users access to asset related information in their native environment. The migration has been a highly successful implementation. It has alleviated the strain on GIS to manage and maintain asset related information while still providing a way for GIS to access it. This solution has provided a stable integration between the two environments with minimal customizations. By thinking a bit out of the box, CoServ was able to create a unique integration that solved all of our problems.

At Esri UK Annual Conference 2014 Thames Water has been using geographic information system (GIS) solutions from Esri for over six years and ArcGIS Platform now supports almost every part of the organisation. ArcGIS gives Thames Water a single, accurate and up-to-date record of all of its assets and makes this vital business information accessible to employees right across the business. When customers contact Thames Water, call centre agents can locate the caller, identify assets in relation to that customer address and easily see what maintenance or infrastructure projects have occurred or are planned for that area. In addition, Thames Water uses the ArcGIS platform to exchange accurate asset and location information with its mobile engineers, surveyors and field workers. ArcGIS has become an indispensable enterprise system for Thames Water and will continue to play a vital role in the business, as it steadfastly evolves to meet the needs of customers and regulators.

Ponderosa has used AutoCAD Map 3D and Microsoft SQL Server as its primary GIS for over 10 years. Having DWG objects stored with real world coordinates has allowed Ponderosa to manage its telecom infrastructure by providing accurate locations for underground locators, footage information to qualify available services as well as detailed maps for engineering and planning purposes. In the past 5-years, regulatory requirements have relied more and more on GIS data to support reports that require a variety of GIS layer overlay including Census Blocks, Census Tracts and Zip code Boundaries. Limited GIS tools in AutoCAD have proven to be inefficient and time consuming in running some the required queries and analysis. This class will focus on how FME's robust GIS querying functionality was used to save hundreds of hours in querying and analyzing GIS data stored in AutoCAD Map 3d and SQL Server.

In this research paper presents an design model for file sharing system for ubiquitos mobile devices using both cloud and text computing. File sharing is one of the rationales for computer networks with increasing demand for file sharing applications and technologies in small and large enterprise networks and on the Internet. File transfer is an important process in any form of computing as we need to really share the data across. The Wireless Network changed the way we were sharing the files. Infra-Red and Bluetooth are the technology we use to share files in mobile phones and Bluetooth is the successful one. In exisiting system there is no immediate predecessor for the proposed system. Bluetooth file transfer is the already existing system. Drawbacks of Existing System are Short Range , Slow transfer rate and Unsecure .But in our research paper the idea is to use Both cloud and text computing network to transfer files.A wireless network is created and the devices connected in this network can share files between them. Benefits over the Existing System are more Secure , Range – upto 300 mts and Data rate is 50-140 mbps. In future without internet connection we can transfer our information very easily.Key words : cloud and text computing, Bluetooth, network, internet, system , file transfer.
